A few tips to help your student...
Lead by Example
The best thing for a student is to see the adults in their life reading scripture. When students see their parents prioritize scripture, they too begin to prioritize it in their own life. A student’s connection to scripture gets even stronger when they see the adults in their life, not just read scripture, but apply it to their life.
Have a Plan
When it comes to reading their Bible, students often don’t even know where to begin. By having a plan, students don’t have to wonder where to go next. Plans can include Youversion devotions, family devotions, or personal devotion books. The important thing is that the plan is simple, easy to follow, and meaningful for the student.
Community is Necessary
Students learn best from scripture when they have a group of people to walk through scripture with. This community can be a youth group, small group, Bible study, or school friends. When they have a community it creates accountability and a safe place to ask questions and learn.
